Rachel Pittman is an PhD student at Georgia State University, where she teaches College Composition. She earned her MFA in Poetry at McNeese State University in 2023, where she served as Poetry Editor for the McNeese Review. She now works as an Assistant Editor at Five Points.

Her writing has appeared in multiple venues, including Whale Road Review, Gingerbread House Magazine, and Stillpoint Literary Magazine. In 2020 she was honored with the John Wood award for Poetry by McNeese's MFA program. In 2022 she received the Moondancer fellowship awarded by the Writer's Colony at Dairy Hollow.
